Slurry pump maintenance

In order to make sure the pump running safely and save energy, we should maintenance the pump regularly.

1)Shaft seal maintenance

Check the shaft seal water pressure and flow rate reguarly. For the expeller+Gland packing seal, must make sure always keep little clean water pass the shaft. Adjust the packing gland assembly and replace the packing reguarly. For the mechanical seal, must make sure supply the high pressure shaft seal.

2)Adjust impeller

In order to keep the pump running well, we must adjust the gap between impeller to the shaft. Usually, for the Expeller + Gland packing seal slurry pump, if we adjust the impller move to front it will increase the pump performance capacity. If adjust move to back can increase the capacity of the shaft seal. So the end user can adjust according the working condition and the requirement. If need adjust the impeller we should stop the pump first.

3)Bearing lubricating

Check the bearing and lubricating oil or grease reguarly. Usually we will replace after running 300hours for the first time. Ater running well, suggest to replace per 3000hours when the bearing temperature samller than 50℃. If over 50℃, we suggest per 2000hours. The end user also can replace as the requirements.
